Railtown 1897 Corvette Run

Join Diablo Valley Corvettes for a visit to Railtown 1897 for a steam excursion through the Sierra Foothills. The folks at Railtown will be steaming up the historic Sierra #3 just for us! :O

On this two-day trip to Railtown 1897 we’ll take a 49ers Gold Rush Tour along Hwy 49 and other scenic routes specially selected for Corvette driving enthusiasts.

Day one will include a drive through Marysville, Grass Valley, Colfax, Old Town Auburn, Coloma and Placerville.

Along the way we’ll have lunch in Grass Valley at Lumberjacks and we’ll visit the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park.

We’ll enjoy dinner and libations at Bricks Eats & Drinks and we’ll be staying at the Historic Cary House Hotel on Main Street in Placerville.

To round out the evening there will be an optional visit to nearby Red Hawk Casino. A Red Hawk shuttle will pick us up at our hotel.

Day two will include a drive along Hwy 49 and through Sutter Creek, Jackson, Angels Camp and Jamestown to Railtown 1897.

At Railtown 1897 we begin with the main event; a steam excursion through the Sierra Foothills powered by the Sierra #3.

Afterwards we’ll have a BBQ Lunch and then a tour of the Locomotive shops and roundhouse.

Cost will be $50.00 per person + $7 per car for parking at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park. Lodging and other meals are not included. The Cary House Hotel will offer a discounted rate to DVC members. Members will need to make their own reservations at the Cary House.
