We will be getting lots of track time!:

About 10 warm up laps; About 10 evaluation/heat placement laps; About 10 timed

competition laps

K-1 supplies helmets and head socks – you should wear comfortable clothing; All

drivers must wear closed-toe shoes  – ladies bring hair ties

The maximum weight for our adult karts is around 300lbs, and maximum height is

around 6’7”. We discourage any sort of contact with our karts out on the track. If we find

someone intentionally bumping, they may be ejected from the race. Prior to each race,

every driver is given a safety briefing that goes over track safety, rules, flag and sign

meanings, and kart operation. In addition, each racer is required to wear a current DOT-

approved helmet with a full-face cover and equipped with a visor or goggles (provided

for every racer). Each kart is outfitted with a roll bar, four-point seatbelt system,

reinforced steel surrounds at the pedal area, and an emergency power cutoff.

Family members who prefer not to race have access to the Paddock Lounge, a casual

restaurant and seating area overlooking the track. This space often serves snacks,

meals, and beverages, including beer and wine in select locations, which allows parents

or grandparents to socialize while watching races. Customers may purchase beer and

wine after ALL their racing has been completed. K1 Speed has a strict no drinking and

driving policy.

We will meet at Pete’s Coffee in the Veranda and caravan to Dublin – 9:30 am
